Meet the Team
Behind it All

It takes a lot to make a trip like this happen.

Everyone involved understands the complexity. But you would never know it by watching the team behind it. They said yes without hesitation and not because they had to but because it mattered.

They work closely with our neurodiverse students every day. They know their strengths, their struggles, and everything in between. They notice the quiet wins and show up when it is easy, and the days it is not.

They understand that growth does not look the same for everyone. Some steps are big. Some are barely visible but  all of them matter.

What sets this team apart is their belief.

They believe that every student is capable. They believe that with the right support, amazing things can happen and this trip is one example of that belief in action.

For many students, this will be a first.

Their first time away from home. Their first time managing something this big. It is a step toward independence, responsibility, and trust. And the educators walking with them know exactly how much that step means.

They are not just organizing a trip.

They are giving students a chance to realize they are ready for more.

Roger DesLauriers

Principal

It’s hard to overstate how important leadership is to something like this and Mr. DesLaurier has been behind this trip from the very beginning. He’s making sure this experience reflects the heart of our school. His belief in inclusive education and in what our students are capable of has helped turn a big idea into something real. Simply put, this trip wouldn’t be happening without his support.

Josipa Esposito

Head of Student Resources

This trip exists because Mrs. Esposito imagined it. What started as a simple idea rooted in joy, inclusion, and possibility, quickly became a mission. She leads with purpose, always looking for ways to make things more accessible, and  meaningful. She doesn’t just support students, she clears the path for them. Every student under her care knows what it feels like to be seen, supported, and

believed in.

Roberta Marghetti

Director of Student Services

Ms. Marghetti leads with compassion first. She has a quiet strength that makes people feel safe, understood, and valued. Her commitment to inclusion isn’t just something she talks about, it’s something she lives. Every decision she makes, every conversation she has, is rooted in the belief that every student belongs. She makes sure every student is given space to grow, contribute, and thrive.

Jadranka Erlic

Grade 11 Student Resource Case Manager

Mrs. Erlic encourages her students to lean into challenges, not step away from them. She helps them understand that progress takes time and that growth often starts with struggle. Whether a student moves forward by a leap or a single step, she is there to notice it and celebrate it. With her support, setbacks become learning moments, and mistakes become opportunities to try again with confidence.

Sandra Reis

Grade Level Coordinator

Ms. Reis brings her passion for learning into every space she enters. She is a dedicated advocate for her students, always looking for ways to make learning more accessible and meaningful. In collaboration with the Student Resources Department, she helps build adaptations and create access points that meet students where they are. She believes that every student deserves a starting point that leads to success. For her, learning is never just about completion. It is about connection, confidence, and growth that lasts.
